At SPW, our goal is to empower every student to achieve their aspirations. This shared commitment inspires our dedicated staff to deliver exceptional education year after year. We recently caught up with our most recent sixth form leavers to hear about their exciting plans for the future and the career paths they’re preparing to pursue.
Hannah
Hannah excelled in her studies and achieved an A in English Literature, Government and Politics and Sociology. She plans to continue her academic journey at King's College London, studying Social Sciences. She explained, “SPW has been such a memorable place to study. I have been surrounded by amazing teachers and made friends that will last a lifetime. My aim is to achieve an impactful career within civil service, doing youth work or teaching.”
Charis
Charis was dedicated to her studies while at SPW and excelled past her original expectations. He was able to achieve an A in History and a B in Physics and Biology. She wants to continue her academic studies at the University of York, studying Archaeology. Charis says: “The teachers have been incredibly supportive and willing to give up time outside of lessons just to support. My course overall has been a brilliant experience. I was grateful to have access to something that fuses both History and Science.”
Abdullah
Abdullah achieved an outstanding A* in Economics and an A in Sociology and History. He plans to continue his academic studies at King's College London, taking a course on History to further his expertise. He says: “My teachers helped me a lot throughout my exam prep, especially after school. I aim to achieve a well-established career in law as a lawyer.”
Mahjabin
Mahjabin worked incredibly hard during her time at SPW. She achieved an exceptional set of A* within all of her subjects: Further Maths, Maths and Physics. She plans to further her academic knowledge at University College London, studying Mechanical Engineering. She says: “I have had a very supportive and encouraging selection of teachers supporting me during my time at SPW. It was their dedication to teaching that helped to keep me motivated to achieve the results I did today.”
Nibras
Nibras achieved exceptional results in his subjects, getting straight A*s in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry. He will continue his studies in physics at Imperial College London. He says “SPW has been incredibly supportive and encouraging towards me. The teachers have stopped at nothing to continuously keep me on track, and the community here overall has been incredibly encouraging. My aim is to achieve a successful career in AI so I can utilise its tools to support others.”
Saima
Saima achieved an A* in Religious Studies, an A in Politics and a B in History. She plans to continue her studies at King’s College. She says: “My teachers have been incredibly helpful in keeping me calm throughout the years I have been here. The sixth form team is incredibly organised and helped me to be efficient during my exams. The best part of my course was the genuine relationships I had with my teachers. I am aiming to work within the Civil Service and hope to aid in making a positive impact within various communities.”
Tanzina
Tanzina excelled in her studies, achieving A*s in Photography and Religious Studies and an A in Psychology. She wants to further her academic knowledge in Psychology at University College London. She says: “One thing that has really helped me throughout my exam prep is the talks I had with my teachers before and after the exams. My future plans are to remain within the academic field and become a teacher myself.”
Tazkirah
Tazkirah worked incredibly hard during her studies and successfully achieved straight A’s in Maths, Biology and Chemistry. She plans to study medicine at University College London. She says: “SPW has helped me to achieve the success I have by continuously supporting me in and out of school. They went above and beyond to organise a work experience for me to further my chances for opportunities in future careers. I’m incredibly grateful for the support and guidance I have had, as well as for being able to experience such a welcoming school community. My main goal is to achieve a successful career as a doctor.”
Zaynab
Zaynab has excelled during her studies at SPW, achieving A*s in Psychology and Sociology and an A in English. She plans to continue her studies at the London School of Economics, studying Psychological and Behavioural Sciences. She says: “I’m very grateful for the commitment of my teachers; they helped to keep me motivated. My main goal is to pursue a career as an Organisational Psychologist.”
