Here at St Paul's Way Trust School, we provide a variety of high quality extra-curricular activities and experiences that encourage our students to be culturally competent and equipped with the ‘skills’ that will enable them to function effectively in the wider world.
We believe that providing a rich and vibrant enrichment programme, not only, increases academic success but also helps to shape our students into well-rounded, conscientious people who will be confident and resilient enough to succeed in life.

Accessing breakfast club for your child is done through a signup system; please contact the school if you require this.
Enrichment Activities

At St Paul’s Way, we offer a wide range of enrichment clubs for pupils from year 7 through to year 13. These run before, during and after school by members of our staff and, in addition to some of our sixth form students (with staff supervision). Enrichment activities are a fantastic opportunity for students to learn a new skill, build their confidence and stay active, which can support their overall development. The enrichment clubs provided are free of charge and open to all. Please look at the timetable attached below for the enrichment activities provided for Autumn, which will be updated as and when further enrichment opportunities are provided.
Trips
Over the course of the academic year, your child will be offered the opportunity to take part in extra-curricular off-site trips. These trips change each year according to availability, but we endeavour to offer every year group an off-site trip during the year. Some permanent fixture highlights include:
- All of Year 7 and Year 8 going to The Globe Theatre to watch a Shakespeare production
- Year 8 and Year 9 CSB Students go on a residential trip to Jamie’s Farm
- All Year 9 students go to The Imperial War Museum to learn contextual information for History and English

First Story
St Paul’s way is delighted to partner with First Story, a charity organisation working to develop the writing skills of young people and offer them the opportunity to become published writers.

Science Summer School
The 12th St Paul’s Way Science Summer School took place (virtually) in which 1000+ East London students heard physicist Prof Brian Cox & Dr Jo Foster, director The Institute for Research in Schools speak on ‘Turning Points: how discoveries, decisions and disasters inform STEAM development’.

University Pathway Programme
The University Pathway Programme, managed by The Brilliant Club, is designed to help pupils increase their chances of attending a highly-selective university. It is an excellent opportunity for your child to experience university-style learning through tutorials run by Dr Gallagher, a teacher who completed his PhD in cosmology.
SPWT XTRA - Greenhouse Sport
Greenhouse Sports facilitates programmes which are carefully designed to be fully inclusive, fun, safe and engaging for participates. The sessions are well planned and structured, with a culture of high expectations for coaches and participants alike. Coaches encourage participants to self-reflect, take responsibility for their choices, behaviours and personal development.
