Our Assistant Head, David Ash, crossed the finish line of the London Marathon on the 27th April after successfully completing the iconic 26.2-mile run and exceeding his initial fundraising target for the Stroke Foundation.

His determination, enthusiasm, and dedication inspired students, staff, and families many of whom tracked his progress and sent good wishes during the run.

Mr. Ash, having trained for several months and having also had schoolwork to attend to, credited the SPW group with providing the motivation to persevere through the challenging portion of the race.

"The kids' cheering was just a great boost during a difficult portion of the run. It really helped me get to the end and I felt so supported by the community," Mr. Ash stated

Past the finish line, Mr. Ash's accomplishment has inspired students of all ages to embrace the power of goal setting and determination and to give back.

His experience of a marathon is reflected in the spirit of community of SPW - a shared code of support and unity that brings out the best in people.

It is in such a positive environment in which St Paul's Way flourishes because staff set the example and illustrate to the students what is best achieved when aspiration meets care.
