Leadership Team

Cath Smith graduated for the University of Cambridge with a degree in Geography.  Cath has a long association with Tower Hamlets, including holding the post of Senior Deputy Head as part of the St Paul's Way Transformation Project when the school moved into its current buildings. An experienced Headteacher, Cath has held Headships at Bow School and The John Roan School and is delighted to return to St Paul's Way as the Executive Headteacher.

After graduating from Keele University, Siobhan completed the Graduate Teacher Programme where she worked in two inner London Primary Schools before going on to teach in Hackney for 14 years. Within that time, Siobhan has taught across the primary phase, led on core areas of the curriculum, was a specialist teacher in education for early reading and has 8 years of senior leadership experience. Siobhan joined St Paul's Way Foundation School in September 2019 as an Assistant Headteacher for Inclusion.

Firdusi Uddin graduated from the London School of Economics with a degree in Psychology and Philosophy. She has a Masters in Educational Leadership and a Post Graduate Diploma in Psychology. Firdusi is an RE specialist by training and has been a Head of Faculty and led on the quality of teaching and learning through the School of Education. Firdusi has also held the post of Senior Deputy Headteacher responsible for Pastoral and Inclusion.

Fatima Johura graduated from Queen Mary University and completed her teacher training at the UCL Institute of Education. Fatima has progressed through the ranks at St Paul’s Way Trust School, having joined the organisation as a newly qualified teacher. From there she became Head of Faculty, then joined the Senior Leadership team of the school as Director of Learning, responsible for Key Stage 3. Recently she was promoted to Deputy Headteacher of Quality of Education and oversight of the Sixth Form.

Lucy Sharpe graduated from the University of Bristol with a degree in Biomedical Science. Lucy completed her training with Teach First in Ipswich, gaining a PGDE from Canterbury Christ Church University. Joining SPW as Subject Leader of Biology, Lucy then moved on to become Subject Leader of Combined Science and Director of Early Career Teaching before taking the post of Director of Learning- Sixth Form. 

John Bradley graduated from Wolverhampton Polytechnic and studied Modern Foreign Languages. John offers a wide breadth of experience teaching in schools in urban contexts. John is a certified specialist Leader in Education and has a real passion for supporting students of all backgrounds access Spanish, particularly through immerser learning experiences. John is the school’s Director of Learning for Additional Educational Needs (AEN) as well as Educational Visits Coordinator.

Olivia Sanchez graduated from King’s College London with a degree in Classics. In 2016, she also attained her MSc in Learning and Teaching from Oxford University. Olivia has worked at St Paul’s Way Trust School since qualifying as a teacher and has progressed through the school as a Lead Practitioner. Olivia now leads on whole school teaching and learning in the School of Education as a Director Headteacher.

Gwilym Goulson graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in History. He joined St Paul's Way Trust School as a Learning Support Assistant and later went on to complete his teacher training. Gwilym acted as a Year Team Leader for four years and is now a Director of Learning, responsible for Key Stage 4.

Asma Rahman graduated from Queen Mary University of London and studied Chemistry.  Asma completed her Teacher training at the Institute of Education, London.  She came into teaching in 2003 for the love of the subject and has never looked back.  As the school’s Senior Research and Development Leader she is currently leading on the School’s Science Summer School as well as other enrichment projects.

Jane Langley graduated from the University of Leeds with a degree in Spanish and English Literature. After teaching abroad and in an international school, she completed her PGCE at UCL Institute of Education. Previously working in secondary schools in Newham, she was appointed as Head of Faculty for Languages at St Paul’s Way Trust School in 2020. Jane then joined Senior Leadership as an Associate Senior Leader with the Curriculum team. She is now a Director of Learning for Teaching and Learning.
